Really love his work. One of the best modern calligraphers as far as I am concerned. Has done tons of amazing work in the branding field, giving shape to many Arabic brands.
What a beautiful language in all it’s manifestations. Al-hamdu li-Lah. Would that its semantic content were always so beautiful.
Shawkat is definitely one of the best Calligraphers out there right now, i can’t get enough of his stuff; i wish they were available for purchase. And you said it BHC, and i know i’m biased when i say this but the language itself is as equally beautiful in its stylistic manifestations as it is in its phonetic articulation, as well as in its poetically-infused prose. Arabic is one those languages that truly harmonizes content and form.
