Too often, Islam is portrayed as something like a religious country club - exclusive, like it’s a religion only for the “perfect” people. It’s not. Islam is for broken people. To mend hearts and heal souls. — AbdelRahman Murphy
This is the best quote I’ve seen on Tumblr. Ever.

For almost 12 years, the Chandra space telescope has been observing the X-ray signatures of high-energy objects. The “Hand of God” nebula, 150 light-years long, is formed by hot gas spewed from a pulsar, or rapidly spinning neutron star.
this is mind-blowingly surreal. wow, subhan’Allah.

20 of the World's Most Beautiful Libraries.
Thanks to souldreamer, now my list of libraries to visit is getting longer.
Old British Reading Room looks like the El Ateneo in Argentina. And the Central Library, I have to say hello to Seattle then. Take a peek, grace your eyes.
i wonder what kind of books these places have? what’s an amazing library without amazing literature? word though, they all look surreal and stunning; would love to go visit some of these someday.

House Vortex by Dan Havel and Dean Ruck…
The Art League offered Havel and Ruck the old studio buildings before they were demolished to make way for a new Art League building. The adjacent houses [were] used for exhibition space and art classes for over thirty years. [The duo] created a large funnel-like vortex beginning from the west wall adjacent to Montrose Blvd. The exterior skin of the houses will be peeled off and used to create the narrowing spiral as it progresses eastward through the small central hallway connecting the two buildings and exiting through a small hole into an adjacent courtyard. Photography’s Longest Exposure
Six months. That’s right. This dream-like picture shows each phase of the sun over Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge taken during half a year.
The image was captured on a pin-hole camera made from an empty drinks can with a 0.25mm aperture and a single sheet of photographic paper.
Photographer Justin Quinnell strapped the camera to a telephone pole overlooking the Gorge, where it was left between December 19, 2007 and June 21, 2008—the Winter and Summer solstices. (That’s a 15,552,000 second exposure.)
